Yes, you’re right CLS may loose the context if some libraries/middlewares on the async call chain doesn’t play nice with Async Hooks API. However, it’s not very common and there shouldn’t be any problems libraries/middlewares built on top of standard APIs.

Anyway, in order to mitigate most obvious problems, there are some recommendations in the cls-tracer's readme. But I strongly advice to test apps thoroughfully in order to make sure that everything works as expected.
